research

Harald Traue is a co-founder of the psychobiological theory of "inhibited emotional expressivity" as the cause of psychosomatic illnesses. In particular, the influence of suppressed emotions on (patho) psychobiological processes is emphasized. His research focus is the regulation of emotions in interpersonal communication and human-computer interaction. For research on human-computer interaction, he uses methods of “affective computing” to develop user-adaptive cognitive systems that can adapt to the individual personality and emotional reactions of the user.
