Tatiana Mikhailovna Ferdman
Tatjana Michailowna Ferdman ( Russian Татьяна Михайловна Фердман ; born July 14, 1957 in Sverdlovsk ) is a Russian table tennis player who was among the world's best in the 1970s. She won a title at world championships and a title at European championships.
youth
From 1971 to 1975 Ferdman was nominated for the European Youth Championship every year. She won seven titles: 1972 and 1975 in singles, in doubles in 1974 (with Elmira Antonyan ) and 1975 (with Nadezhda Meschkowa) and 1971, 1973 and 1974 with the Russian team. With Antonyan she reached the double final in 1973.
Adults
For adults, Ferdman took part in the European Championships in 1974 and 1976 . In 1976 she was European team champion with the Russian women in Prague.
Ferdman was also represented twice at world championships. She was most successful in 1975 in Calcutta. She reached the semi-finals in singles as the only European and in doubles with Elmira Antonyan. In mixed she became world champion alongside Stanislaw Gomoskow . With the Russian women's team, she finished sixth in both 1975 and 1977 .
In the USSR rankings she took first place in 1976, in the ITTF world rankings she was fifth in mid-1975.
trainer
After the end of her career, Ferdman worked - now under the name Tatjana Kutergina - as a trainer. Currently (at least since 2008) she coaches the men's team of TTSC UMMC Yekaterinburg.
