Harald Wehner (soccer player)

Harald Wehner (born December 14, 1938 in Erfurt ; † August 2, 2012 ) was a German football player .

Harald Wehner was a defender. In his career he played exclusively for Turbine and Rot-Weiß Erfurt and made his debut in the GDR league on November 11, 1956 against Vorwärts Berlin . In total, he came to 259 league appearances, in which he scored nine goals. Despite three relegations, he stayed in Erfurt until the end of his active career. In the second-rate GDR league , he came to 84 games and 11 goals.

On December 10, 1961, he came in Casablanca against Morocco for his only assignment in the national soccer team of the GDR .

After his active career, among other things, he worked as a youth coach, and he also worked in the Thuringian Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in the sports department.
