Harbach is a district of Linz .

history

The Weiler Harbach belonged to Parish Urfahr and formed part of the municipality or municipality Urfahr , which was incorporated by 1919 Linz. Between 1940 and 1942 the Harbach settlement (“ Führer settlement”) comprising 840 apartments was built, some of which are listed. From 1957 to 2013, the Harbach settlement gave its name to one of Linz's statistical districts ; in 2016, almost 4,000 people lived in the area of ​​this former statistical district.

Waters

The Schießstättenbach, which rises at Donnererweg, runs through the settlement. From there it flows through the Heilhamer Park, which separates Harbach from the Hartmayr settlement, and then flows from the left into the habenleitenbach, which drains into the nearby Danube .

The settlement is accessible for long-distance traffic via the Mühlkreis Autobahn (A7). The most important traffic artery in the local area is Leonfeldener Straße . It connects the district with Linz and Bad Leonfelden . It ends at the border crossing to the Czech Republic .
