The Harburger SC (full name: Harburger Sportclub 1904/07 eV Borussia Rasensport ) is a sports club from the Hamburg district of Marmstorf . The first soccer team plays in the District League South. The parent club Borussia Harburg played between 1934 and 1941 in the then first-class Gauliga Niedersachsen and Nordmark , while the other parent club Rasensport Harburg played in the Regionalliga Nord in the 1964/65 season.

Borussia Harburg

The Borussia Harburg football club was founded on July 18, 1904 by dissatisfied members of FC Viktoria Harburg . Three years later, FC Viktoria joined Borussia. In 1910, Borussia became champions of Northern Hanover and played in the Verbandsliga Nord in the 1913/14 season. Three years later, the Harburgers were North German champions with a 4-1 victory over Marine SC Wilhelmshaven . Because of the First World War , however, no German championship was played.

In 1920 Borussia again reached the final of the North German Championship, which was lost 1: 2 against SV Arminia Hannover . In 1934 the Harburgers were promoted to the Lower Saxony Gauliga . Due to the Greater Hamburg Law , Borussia switched to Gauliga Nordmark for the 1937/38 season , from which Borussia relegated in 1941.

After the Second World War , Borussia played a total of six years between 1954 and 1970 in the then second-rate Hamburg amateur league . On March 12, 1970, FC Borussia merged with the Harburg lawn sport club to form Harburger SC . Former members of Borussia founded FC Borussia 1981 Harburg in 1981 , which was dissolved again in 1988.

Lawn sports Harburg

On October 1, 1907, members of the wild clubs Sportmannschaft Harburg and Germania Harburg founded the football club Britannia Harburg . In 1914 the name of the club was changed to Harburger Ballspielverein 1907 . After the club first adopted the name FC Britannia 1907 Harburg in the spring of 1919, the name was changed in November 1919 to Club for Lawn Sports Harburg . The club was popularly referred to as Lawn Sport Harburg .

In 1935, the lawn athletes made it into the Lower Saxony Gauliga, which could be held for two years. After the descent, the direct rise followed, but in the Gauliga Nordmark. Relegation was just missed. After the Second World War, lawn sport played in the Hamburg amateur league for many years. Under coach "Eugen" Pöhler , the team made it to the Regionalliga Nord.

The regional league, however, was a size too big for the lawn athletes, who had to relegate as the bottom of the table. In 1968 the team was relegated from the amateur league and two years later had to be relegated from this league. It was the last season of lawn athletes before the merger with Borussia.

Harburger SC

After the merger, the HSC played in the Hamburg amateur league for a few years. The greatest success here was third place in the 1972/73 season. In 1975 the team was relegated from the amateur league. Between 1977 and 1984 as well as in the late 1990s, the Harburger SC returned once again to the state league. The first team later played in the district league, from which they were relegated in 2015.

Futsal

Since 2017, a futsal team under the umbrella of Harburger SC has been participating in the first-class Regionalliga Nord under the name Sparta Futsal HSC . In the season 2017/18 she finished sixth in the season 2018/19 to third place.
