Hard Candy (original name Rogue State ) is an indie electro rock band from Denmark .
history
Hard Candy was founded by singer Julian Winding in 2005 together with his cousin Max Winding (drums), Tim Hede Jensen (also drums) and Lars Poulsen (synthesizer). At first the band played punk, but switched to electric rock. The band's sound developed from an original mishap that turned out to be a stroke of luck when Julian Windings' guitar broke and the band had to resort to computer sounds as a replacement. The first single was El Ectro , the subsequent Just Another Face , in 2009 the album Rogue State was released , named after the original band name, which the band had to change because another band already had this name.
Hard Candy are released on the record company Mermaid Records , a sub-label of Sony BMG Music Entertainment .

Julian Winding is the eldest son of the actress Brigitte Nielsen and the Danish musician Kasper Winding .
