Kasper Winding

Kasper Winding (born June 21, 1956 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish composer , multi-instrumentalist and music producer .

Live and act

Winding, son of the writer Thomas Winding , was first known in the 1970s as a drummer and percussionist in jazz ; he recorded with Dexter Gordon , Sigi Busch , Karin Krog , Palle Mikkelborg , Rolf Kühn , Jasper van't Hof ( The Selfkicker ) and Per Carsten . He also played at the New Jazz Meeting Baden-Baden in 1974 and with Howard Johnson's Gravity at the Pori Jazz Festival 1977. He was also for Per Nørgård , Abba , Terry Riley , Det Kongelige Kapel and soon also for Phil Glass , Barry White and Nina Hagen works.

He increasingly began to compose for the film, but continued to work as a percussionist for the next few years: in 1981 he was involved in the Rolling Stones ' album Tattoo You . From the same year to 1984 he belonged to the pop group Shu-Bi-Dua and can be heard on three of their albums.

In 1986 he was awarded a Robert for his score for the feature film The Flying Devils . He had a small hit in 1987 with the song Sjæl i flammer . The album No. 5 from 1989 was commercially successful with the hits Kom nu hjem and Alle har en drøm . Over the next few years Winding composed and produced for CV Jørgensen , Maya Albana , Lis Sørensen , Gangway , Caroline Henderson , Kathusja Babikian , Heidi Herløw , Alberte Winding , Definition of Sound , Lars Muhl , Susi Hyldgaard , Mew , Lois , Steen Jørgensen , Jonas Bjerre , Sébastien Tellier , Shanghai, Mr Oizo and Lola Delon . He also remixed songs by Kavinsky , Efterklang , Hypnolove , Sébastien Tellier and Justice . He also wrote ballet music.

After he was Brigitte Nielsen's husband for the first time , he has been married to Simone Bendix since 1987. His son Julian Winding is also a musician (in the band Hard Candy ).
