The Hardy Cove is a bay on the east coast of Greenwich Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands .
The British seal hunter Robert Fildes (1793-1827), who operated between 1820 and 1822 in the waters around the South Shetland Islands, named the headland known today as Sartorius Point as Hardy Point . In order to preserve Fildes' designation, the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee transferred it to the bay described here in 1961. It is named after the British admiral Thomas Masterman Hardy (1769–1839).
