Harkness Tower

The Harkness Tower is a bell tower on the campus of Yale University in New Haven , Connecticut in the United States . It is a distinctive landmark of the university and also popular as a photo opportunity.

The tower, built in the neo-Gothic style between 1917 and 1921 , was named after a donation from Anna M. Harkness after her son, the Yale graduate Charles William Harkness from the graduate class of 1883.
