The Harmångersån is a river in the Swedish province of Gävleborgs län . It flows through the municipality of Nordanstig in northern Hälsingland .

The 81 km long river drains an area of ​​1197.1 km². The Harmångersån has its source on the border with Västernorrland County . In the upper reaches the river is also called Framängsån or Skansån . It flows through the lakes Hasselasjön and Storsjön , passes the town of Strömsbruk and flows into the Gulf of Bothnia .

The parish village of Harmånger is located about ten kilometers from its mouth on its southern bank. This is also where the European route 4 crosses the river.
