Harold Lederman

Harold Lederman (born January 26, 1940 in New York City , † May 11, 2019 in New York City ) was an American judge and boxing commentator for the American television station HBO .

Lederman began his career in 1965 when he began judging amateur matches. After two years, he finally applied for a license from the New York State Athletic Commission to work as a professional judge. In 1986 he finally began to work as a boxing expert for the American broadcaster Home Box Office (HBO). After serving as a judge in over 100 title fights, he finally ended his career in 1999 and has only worked for HBO as a boxing match commentator since then.

He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1997 .
