Harold Manning

Harold Manning ( Harold William Manning; born January 9, 1909 in Sedgwick , Kansas , † January 26, 2003 in Wichita , Kansas) was an American obstacle and long-distance runner .

In 1936 he qualified over 3000 m obstacle with the unofficial world best time of 9: 08.2 min for the Olympic Games in Berlin , where he was fifth in 9: 11.2 min. In 1934 and 1936 he was US champion over 3000 m obstacle, starting in 1930 for Wichita State University NCAA champion over two miles .
