The Harrat Rahat volcanic field ( Arabic حرة رهاط, DMG Ḥarrat Rahāṭ ) is located near the city of Medina and is the largest lava field in Saudi Arabia . The last eruption took place in 1256, when six connected cinder cones erupted 0.5 cubic kilometers of lava and flowed 23 km to 4 km from the city of Medina. The Wahbah crater is nearby.
