Harri Weber

Harri Weber (born December 17, 1931 in Gera ; † March 7, 1988 ) was a German trade union official ( FDGB ).

Life

Weber, the son of a carpenter , visited the elementary and middle school and then completed a commercial apprenticeship. In 1949/50 he worked as a payroll clerk at the company "Hermann Günter KG dyeing and bleaching", from 1950 to 1952 as a clerk or as an instructor at the state sports committee of Thuringia . In 1952 he was sector manager of the sports association “Motor” in Berlin , from 1953 to 1955 sector manager at the FDGB federal board. In 1954 he joined the SED . Between 1955 and 1960 he completed a distance learning course at the University of Economics in Berlin-Karlshorst, with a degree in economics. From 1956 to 1963 he worked as deputy head of department, from 1963 to 1982 as department head of finance, from 1982 to 1988 as head of finance and economic administration of the FDGB federal board. From 1968 to 1988 he was a member of the FDGB federal executive board, from 1982 to 1988 also to its executive committee.
