Harris Mann (born April 1938 in London ) is a British automobile designer .

Mann began his career with the bus manufacturer Duple Coachbuilders . He then went to the USA for a short time to work with Raymond Loewy . Back in England he worked for the automobile manufacturers Commer and Ford . There he took part in the development of the Ford Escort and the Ford Capri . Together with his supervisor Roy Haynes , he moved from Ford to the British Motor Corporation in 1967 . There both took over the management of the design department.

When BMC's design department moved to Longbridge, Haynes left the company. Mann became chairman of the British Leyland design team. There he developed the characteristic design of the Triumph TR7 , which was also used in the TR8.

In addition, Mann designed the body of the Austin Allegro . The Leyland Princess emerged from the participation in the Diablo project . His last work was the Austin Metro and a design for the Austin Maestro . He then left British Leyland and worked as a freelancer for MG Rover, among others .
