The Harris Valley is a valley in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Allan Hills , it is immediately east of Coxcomb Peak .
The valley was explored in 1964 by a team working in the Allan Hills as part of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program . It named it after the British paleobotanist Thomas Maxwell Harris (1903–1983) in recognition of his work on the flora of the Mesozoic Era .
