The Coxcomb Peak (English for Hahnenkamm peak ) is a rugged mountain peak made of dolerite in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Allan Hills, it towers over the southern end of the Plumstead Valley .
It was explored in 1964 by a team who worked in the Allan Hills as part of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program and gave it a descriptive name.
