Harro Feddersen

Harro Feddersen (* 1835 in Pinneberg ; † 1917 in Altona ) has lived in Altona since his apprenticeship as a merchant from 1852 and is considered the first bicycle dealer in Germany. In 1862 he opened a hardware store in Palmaille . From 1869 he sold Velocipede from the production of the Schlüter brothers from Pinneberg.

In 1869, Feddersen and other cyclists founded the Eimsbüttel Velocipede Riding Club . From 1925 to 1932, the Altonaer Bicycle Club from 1869/80 (ABC) posthumously remembered Harro Feddersen with a commemorative race. It was advertised as a team race and took place every year in May at the start of the racing season.

Harro Feddersen died in 1917 at the age of 82.
