Harry Blackstone
Harry Blackstone (born September 27, 1885 as Harry Boughton , † November 16, 1965 ) was an American magician .
Life
He had been interested in magic since he was still at school. In the 1930s, he put together a large Howard Thurston and Harry Kellar magic show . During the Second World War he was one of the entertainers who were used by the United Service Organizations (USO) for troop support . His demonstrations were characterized by the fact that he almost never spoke to the magic tricks and was always elegantly dressed (tailcoat). After the war it gained great popularity. He worked on the radio program "The Magic Detective", which was broadcast in several episodes from October 3, 1948 to March 26, 1950. Blackstone also appears as a comic figure: in three issues "Blackstone, Master Magician" from 1946.
