Harry Illak

Harry Illak (born June 7, 1961 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian conductor .

Life and music

Harry Illak attended the Tallinn Children's Music School ( Tallinna Laste Muusikakool ) from 1973 to 1978 and learned French horn . From 1988 to 1993 he studied cultural studies and conducting at the Tallinn Pedagogical Institute . From 2001 to 2004 Illak studied computer science and multimedia systems at the Tallinn Pedagogical University .

Illak has been a conductor since 1995. He mainly directs youth and wind orchestras. From 1998 to 2004 he was Vice Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Studies at Tallinn University of Education. Since 2005, Harry Illak study director of the University of Tartu belonging Viljandi Culture Academy .
