Harry Kalaba

Harry Kalaba (born June 12, 1976 ) is a Zambian politician of the Patriotic Front (PF).

Life

Kalaba completed a degree in philosophy as well as in public administration and worked as an administrative officer. He was elected as a candidate of the Patriotic Front (PF) to the National Assembly of Zambia in the elections in 2011 and was re-elected in the elections on August 11, 2016 and represents the constituency of Bahati in this .

In September 2013 he was appointed Minister for Land, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection to President Michael Sata's cabinet . In the course of a government reshuffle , he took over the office of Foreign Minister from Wilbur Simuusa on March 13, 2014 . After Sata's death on October 28, 2014, he retained the post of Foreign Minister in the cabinet of his acting successor Guy Scott and in the cabinet of Edgar Lungu , who took over the office of President on January 25, 2015. He remained in this position after the cabinet reshuffle on September 14, 2016. In 2018, he resigned and was replaced by Joe Malanji .
