Harry Noormann

Harry Noormann (born January 14, 1948 in Holterfehn , East Frisia ) is a German Protestant religious educator and retired professor for Protestant theology and religious education at the Institute for Theology and Religious Education of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University in Hanover .

Life

From 1967 Norrmann studied Protestant theology and social sciences in Wuppertal, Heidelberg and Göttingen. As an academic tutor at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of Göttingen, he was responsible for the conception and implementation of the first integrated introductory phase in 1971. In 1973 he was the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Göttingen Dr. theol. PhD. In 1974 he became a research assistant in the field of Protestant theology and religious education at the Lower Saxony University of Education , Braunschweig department, and in 1981 he became a university assistant there. From the summer semester 1984 to the winter semester 1985/86 he administered the second chair at the seminar for evang. Theology and religious education in the educational sciences department of the TU Braunschweig , to which the Braunschweig department of the PH Lower Saxony had been transferred. There he completed his habilitation in 1986. In 1987 he became a research assistant in the Ev. Theology and religious education at the Faculty of Education I at the University of Hanover . In 1993/94 he was a professor for religious education at the Ev.-theol. Faculty of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main . From March 1, 1996 he was full professor for Protestant theology and didactics of the Ev. Religion at the Faculty of Education at the University of Hanover (today the Philosophical Faculty ). There he worked from 2003 to 2012 as managing director of the intercultural pedagogy working group, from 2008 to 2011 as research dean and from 2011 until his retirement on April 1st, 2017 as dean .

Noormann is married and has three children.
