Harry Sinclair

Harry Alan Sinclair (* 1959 in Auckland , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand director , writer and actor .

Career

Harry Sinclair was born in Auckland to the historian and poet Sir Keith Sinclair and Mary Sinclair. He studied acting at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris .

Sinclair was a member and actor in the musical The Front Lawn, which he co-founded .

He wrote the script for the short film Walkshort and was also part of the cast. With The Lounge Bar and Linda's Body , two more short films followed based on this principle, but he was also a director; he was also a producer for the latter. He gained international fame as an actor through his portrayal of Isildur in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. More well-known works as a screenwriter or director are The Price of Milk with Karl Urban in the lead role and the television series 90210 .

On December 5, 2008, he married screenwriter and producer Rebecca Rand Kirshner .
