Hartmut Block

Hartmut Block (* 1957 ) is a German screenwriter .

Life

Block initially worked as a kindergarten teacher, coal hauler and copywriter, rather than taking up a degree in social work and musicology. He then worked as a musician, soundtrack producer and music journalist for the WDR youth radio, among others. Later, from the 1980s, Block worked as a TV editor at WWF for the ARD evening program where he was jointly responsible for series productions such as Blank Meier Jensen , Gegen den Wind and Die Strandclique . He has been working as a screenwriter since 2002. In November 2010 his first novel Dosenkavalier was published .

Block lives in Cologne and has been married since 1991.
