Hartmut Enke

Hartmut Enke (born October 20, 1952 , † December 27, 2005 in Berlin ) was a German musician and bassist in the group Ash Ra Tempel .

Life

He founded the first school band with his friend and schoolmate Manuel Göttsching at his birthday party at the age of 15.

In 1970 there was the short-term project Steeple Chase Blues Band with Manuel Göttsching, Wolfgang Müller and Volker Zibell. In the same year Manuel Göttsching founded the band Ash Ra Tempel with Hartmut Enke and Klaus Schulze . The debut album of the same name was recorded in Hamburg with the help of Conny Plank and released in 1971. In the same year Schulze left the band again. The second album Schwimmern was created in 1972 by Manuel Göttsching , Hartmut Enke and various guests, as was the album Seven Up , which was created in Switzerland with Timothy Leary and other guests. Join Inn , the third album from 1972, was created during the sessions for Walter Wegmüller's album Tarot . The line-up for Join Inn again consisted of Manuel Göttsching, Hartmut Enke, Klaus Schulze and Rosi Müller.

In 1973, a concert took place at the Théâtre de l'Ouest in Paris that led to Ash Ra Tempel's international breakthrough. Shortly afterwards Hartmut Enke left the band, moved to Berlin and ended his music career. Contact with Manuel Göttsching remained until his death. Göttsching dedicated his solo concert to Hartmut Enke on June 2, 2010 in Paris in the Parc de la Villette .
