Hartmut Hoffmann (born February 13, 1943 ) is a former German football player in the top GDR league division . He played there for the company sports association (BSG) Motor / Sachsenring Zwickau . With her he won the GDR soccer cup in 1967 .

Hoffmann played at BSG Motor Bautzen until the end of the 1964/65 football season , most recently in the second-rate GDR league . In the summer of 1965 Hoffmann moved to the upper division Motor Zwickau, who had to replace the left winger Hans Speth who had left the club. Hoffmann, who also had a skilled worker certificate as a chemical technician, took over his position from the beginning of the 1965/66 season and immediately became a regular player with 25 of the 26 Bundesliga point games played. His first league game was the match between Motor Zwickau and Dynamo Berlin (3-2) on August 14, 1965. In addition to 19 league appearances in the 1966/67 season, he crowned his second league season by winning the GDR soccer cup. In the final on April 30, 1967, he was used as usual on the left attacking side, his team won 3-0 against Hansa Rostock. From the two European Cup games in the fall of 1967 against Torpedo Moscow, he played one encounter. In 1967/68 he had the best hit rate of his league career with five goals, his team called itself since March 1, 1968 after their sponsoring company Sachsenring Zwickau. During the seasons 1969/70 and 1970/71 Hoffmann was absent unusually in several point games, so that he only came to 19 or 17 league appearances. 1970/71 he stayed in the league for the first time without a point goal. In the first half of the 1971/72 season Hoffmann only played on the 11th and 12th matchday, in the second half of the season he was used in seven league games. Of these nine games, he only played three full time. At the beginning of his last league season 1972/73 Hoffmann was 29 years old, at the end of the season he had played another 15 league games. For the last time he was on June 13, 1973 in the encounter of the 23rd matchday Sachsenring - 1. FC Magdeburg (1: 1) for 45 minutes in the Zwickau league team. In his eight league seasons, Hoffmann had played 153 point games and scored 18 goals as a standard left winger.
