Hartmut Konschal (born April 2, 1953 in Salzgitter ) is a former German soccer player .

The defender came to Eintracht Braunschweig in 1971 from Union Salzgitter as a right winger (striker) . Between 1971 and 1981 he played a total of 199 Bundesliga games, scoring 15 goals and 45 games in the 2nd Bundesliga with 5 goals. After he moved to Werder Bremen in 1976 , he was retrained as a defender. He was given a regular place under Otto Rehhagel . After a dispute with the coach, he was loaned to Freiburg FC in 1981 . After his return to the Bremen area, he was only active in amateur football. He ended his active career as a player-coach at TSV Verden in the 1982/83 season .

He then worked as a coach at Rotenburger SV , SV Atlas Delmenhorst and Brinkumer SV .
