Hartwig Ludwig Anton von Hoym , since 1809 Count von Hoym , (* July 20, 1750 in Braunschweig , † February 18, 1811 in Breslau ) was a Prussian Upper Finance Councilor and President of the South Prussian War and Domain Chamber in Warsaw .

Life

He belonged to the Brunswick line of the Anhalt noble family von Hoym and was the son of Johann Ernst Friedrich von Hoym and his wife Anna Louise von Hoym née von Knigge. Like many of his family members, he embarked on an administrative career and entered the service of the King of Prussia, who promoted him to the position of Privy Finance Councilor and President of the South Prussian War and Domain Chamber in Warsaw.

As a thank you and lasting recognition for his services to the Prussian state, the King of Prussia elevated him to the Prussian count status in Königsberg on April 28, 1809 and added the count's hat to the previous family coat of arms. The elevation to the count status also applied to all of his legitimate descendants.

Hartwig Ludwig Anton von Hoym married Wilhelmine Caroline Sophie von Tauentzien (1763–1842) from the House of Balkow in Neumark in 1828 in Breslau . The couple had two sons, Counts Wilhelm and Ludwig. Wilhelm Graf von Hoym (1790–1849), Prussian colonel and first adjutant to Prince Carl of Prussia, married Henriette von Tauentzien (1800–1878) from the Balkow family in Neumark in 1828.

Hartwig Ludwig Anton Count von Hoym's younger son Anton Ludwig Heinrich Otto (1794–1875) became a Prussian lieutenant colonel . He married Auguste, nee von Münchow (1797-1854) in Landsberg on November 18, 1823 and left four daughters and three sons.
