Haruko Momoi
Haruko Momoi ( Japanese 桃 井 は る こ ; born December 14, 1977 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese singer, songwriter and seiyū . She likes to call herself Halko ; she was inspired by the film 2001: A Space Odyssey (Computer HAL 9000). Her trademark is her unusual squeaky voice.
biography
In the late 1990s, Haruko began to sing on the streets of Harajuku and Akihabara . In 2000, she released her first single, Mail Me , a remake of a song from the film Sucide Circle . Shortly thereafter, she got her first speaking role (Komugi Nakahara) for the anime The SoulTaker . In 2002 she founded the duo Under17 together with Masaya Koike . They produced many songs for video games, eroge, and anime. Since the breakup of Under17 in September 2004, Halko has continued to write songs alone. In October 2005 she got her own radio show on Radio Osaka, where she presented her new songs. Since 2006 Halko has been under contract with the label avex mode as a composer and singer. In 2007 she gave three concerts at the Connichi Anime Convention in Germany, two in 2008 and one concert in 2010.
On October 15, 2011, she was in Düsseldorf for Japan Day . She sat on the jury of the cosplay fashion show and assessed the work of the cosplayers. The day before, she played a concert that evening.
