Kujibiki Unbalance ( Jap. くじびきアンバランス, dt as "unbalanced lottery.") Is a Japanese anime - and manga series of Shimoku Kio . It was initially just a fictional series in the manga Genshiken , but was then also produced as an anime and manga itself. First an OVA was published , then a manga, video game and a television series.

action

Once a year, the prestigious Rikkyōin High School holds a lottery to determine the members of the next student council. On his first day at school, the student Chihiro Enomoto will be named the next student president. His childhood friend Tokino Akiyama becomes Vice President. Now they have to pass a probation period of one year under the supervision of the current student council under the president Ritsuko Kübel Kettenkrad . Any mistake in the assigned tasks will result in expulsion from school. Chihiro is unlucky and every conceivable misfortune happens to him, Tokino, to his relief, however, is lucky. The ambitious future secretary Renko and her friend Koruko often make life difficult for them. So the four of them have to jointly fulfill the tasks that the current student council has assigned them.

OVA

Since only episodes 1, 21 and 25 of the fictitious 26 episodes were produced, the plot is incomplete. A side story of the OVA is the relationship between Chihiro Enomoto and the current student council president, Ritsuko Kübel Kettenkrad . Flashbacks show that the two were childhood friends and that Ritsuko was in love with Chihiro.

reception

The magazine AnimaniA certifies the TV series a "colorful mix of action and comedy elements" , which provided varied entertainment. There is a lot of slapstick and situation comedy , the emotional life of the characters is also in the foreground a few times, but the erotic elements, in contrast to the OVA, are limited. Another difference is the character design, which appears younger. The animation quality is rather average, but this is okay for the action offered.
