The Chevrolet Del Ray was an upper middle class passenger car that was only manufactured by Chevrolet in model year 1958 as an entry-level model and successor to the One-Fifty Series 1500 .

The serial number 1100 designated while the six-cylinder models whose displacement 3859 cm 3 was and 145 hp (107 kW) at 4200 min -1 rendered. The serial number 1200 denoted the V8 models. The engines had a displacement of 4638 cm 3 and performance of 185 hp (136 kW) at 4,600 min -1 (standard) or 230 bhp (169 kW) at 4,800 min -1 (Super Turbo-Fire). Was available on request, a V8 with 5,703 cm 3 displacement and 250 hp (184 kW) at 4,400 min -1 (Turbo-Thrust), 250 hp (184 kW) at 5,000 min -1 (Ram-Jet Fuel Injection), 280 hp (206 kW) at 4800 min -1 or 315 hp (232 kW) at 5600 min -1 (both: Super Turbo-Thrust).

The Del Ray was delivered in six body styles: two six-seater sedans with two or four doors, a "utility sedan" (= business coupé with only one bench and three seats), a "sedan delivery" (= two-door sedan only with driver's seat) and two six-seat station wagons with three and five doors. The two station wagons were called Yeoman .

After only one year of production, the Del Ray disappeared and was replaced by the Biscayne Series 1100/1200.
