The Harzrundweg is a long-distance cycle path that runs around 350 kilometers on the edge of the Harz around the northernmost German low mountain range.

The long-distance cycle route has very different standards depending on the district. The official starting point is Goslar. In this district it mostly leads over gravel roads, sometimes also asphalt roads, but also uneven paths. Wernigerode (now Harzkreis ) has done a lot for the expansion, so that the asphalt stretches predominate. Quedlinburg (also Harz district) is also quite mixed again. In the southern Harz ( Mansfeld-Südharz , Nordhausen , Göttingen ) long stretches over quiet streets and paved farm roads predominate. Tire widths should not be less than 35 mm for driving. It may be advisable to use a mountain bike .

In the northern area between Langelsheim and Ballenstedt , the route largely follows the same route as the European route (D3) .
