Ewald Wichert (* 26. May 1940 in Hamm (Westphalia) ) was German amateur boxer in the middleweight division .

• in the seniors 1963, 1964, 1967 runner-up
• 1966 and 1968 German champions among seniors.

Other highlights of his boxing career were winning the Military World Championship in New York's Madison Square Garden in 1965 and the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City . Here Wichert lost against the eventual Olympic champion Christopher Finnegan (England) with 3-2 judges' votes.
