The D-Route 3 ( European route ) runs over 960 kilometers as a long- distance cycle path from Vreden-Zwillbrock on the Dutch border to Küstrin-Kietz on the Polish border. The D-Route 3 is the portion of the German Europe cycle path R1 and the Euro Velo route ' capital route ' (EV2).

Routing

The D3 also runs through Staßfurt . The river

During the tour, great care was taken to ensure that even inexperienced cyclists and families could manage the route on an attractive route. In the Harz Mountains , between Langelsheim and Ermsleben , there are some steep gradients to be mastered.

The D3 near Rabenstein / Fläming in Brandenburg

The D-Route 3 is marked with the D network icon and the numeral "3". In Lower Saxony near Detmold, only the symbol of the European cycle route R1 is used for a section.

expansion

In principle, the cycle path is routed over routes that are not heavily loaded with motor vehicle traffic. Except in the many passages through touristically interesting places, the route mostly runs through nature and away from the roads. In many regions the paths are already very well developed. However, some of the road surfaces are still unpaved.
