The municipality of Rabenstein / Fläming is located in the Niemegk district in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district ( Brandenburg ).
geography
Rabenstein / Fläming is located in the upper valley of the Plane and in its headwaters. There are several nature reserves in the municipality, which lies entirely in the Hoher Fläming Nature Park .

history
The current districts of the municipality belonged to the Zauch-Belzig district in the Prussian province of Brandenburg since 1817 and to the Belzig district in the GDR district of Potsdam from 1952 . Since 1993 they have been in the Brandenburg district of Potsdam-Mittelmark.
The community was created on July 1, 2002 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent communities of Buchholz bei Niemegk, Garrey, Groß Marzehns, Klein Marzehns, Raben and Rädigke.

Attractions
The main attractions in Rabenstein / Fläming are in the Raben district of Rabenstein Castle , the nature park center of the High Fläming "Old Distillery" and the so-called million bridge between Raben, Rädigke and Klein Marzehns. There are also medieval stone churches in several districts , for example the village church of Rädigke .

The European cycle route R1 , the Tour Brandenburg and the European long-distance hiking route E 11 lead through the municipality .
