The Niemegk office is an office formed in 1992 in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district of the state of Brandenburg , in which six municipalities in the then Belzig district were initially combined to form an administrative association. Five other municipalities were assigned to the office in 1992. As a result of community mergers and integrations, including changes in office, the number of municipalities decreased, so that the Niemegk office currently has four municipalities belonging to the office.

Geographical location

The Niemegk office is located in the south of the Potsdam-Mittelmark district. It borders in the west on the unofficial municipality of Wiesenburg / Mark , in the north with the unofficial city Bad Belzig and the department Brück , in the east with the unofficial city Treuenbrietzen and in the south with the state of Saxony-Anhalt .

Municipalities and districts

The Niemegk office administers four municipalities:

On April 30, 2002, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the incorporation of the Brachwitz community into the city of Treuenbrietzen on June 1, 2002 (at that time still part of the Treuenbrietzen office , from October 26, 2003 vacant).
