Municipalities and districts

The office administers six municipalities:

history

On May 13, 1992, the Minister of the Interior approved the creation of the Ziesar Office based on the so-called Office Model 1 (creation of a separate administration) based in the city of Ziesar. Formally, it took effect on June 15, 1992. The office took over the administration of the following municipalities:

  • Boecke
  • Buckau
  • Bucknitz
  • Dretzen
  • Glienecke
  • Köpernitz
  • Steinberg
  • Wenzlow
  • Wollin
  • Teat
  • City of Ziesar

On October 20, 1992, the communities of Gräben, Hohenlobbese and Rottstock were assigned to the Ziesar office. On November 2, 1992, the municipality of Görzke was assigned to the office.

On December 31, 2001, the communities Rogäsen, Viesen and Warchau ( Wusterwitz district ) formed the new community Rosenau . The municipality of Zitz was also incorporated into the new municipality on December 31, 2001 and left office.

On March 1, 2002, the number of communities in the Ziesar district was greatly reduced. The new Buckautal community was formed from the communities of Buckau and Dretzen. The communities Glienecke, Bücknitz and Köpernitz were incorporated into the city of Ziesar. The municipality of Hohenlobbese was incorporated into the municipality of Görzke. The municipality of Boecke was incorporated into the municipality of Wenzlow and the municipality of Steinberg was incorporated into the municipality of Buckautal.

On October 26, 2003, the community of Rottstock was dissolved and incorporated into Trenches. The municipality of Rottstock lodged a municipal constitutional complaint against its dissolution and incorporation into the municipality of Gräben. The community's lawsuit against their incorporation before the constitutional court of the state of Brandenburg was initially upheld. The legislature was given a deadline of January 1, 2006 in order to avoid the annulment of the incorporation through a new regulation. As a result, the Landtag of Brandenburg passed a confirmation law with effect from July 3, 2004, in which the incorporation was confirmed. On May 30, 2005, the municipality of Rottstock again lodged a municipal constitutional complaint, which was partially rejected by the State Constitutional Court on June 15, 2006, the rest rejected.
