Köpernitz is a district of the town of Ziesar in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district , Brandenburg . The place has about 175 inhabitants and is located on the Buckau . The federal highway 107 runs through the village, the A 2 runs just 300 meters north of the village. The Buckautal motorway service station is also located there.
history
Köpernitz was first mentioned in a document in 1420.
A school opened in 1880 and closed again in 1951.
On March 31, 2002, Köpernitz was incorporated into Ziesar.
Attractions
- Köpernitz village church : The neo-Romanesque building made of granite stones was completed in 1883. In 2009 a window with the Holy Spirit motif of the dove was installed in the chancel based on a design by Martina Wegener. The work was carried out by the company Glas Wilde from Bellingen.
- A cycle path has been running on the route of the railway line in the direction of Görzke , which opened in 1912 , since 2011.
