The Beetzsee office with its seat in the municipality of Beetzsee is an office in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district ( Brandenburg ), in which five municipalities are combined to form an administrative association. It was formed in 1992 and initially comprised 15 communities in what was then the Brandenburg district .

The office is located in the north of the Potsdam-Mittelmark district and borders the municipalities of Milower Land and Premnitz in the west, the Havelland district in the north, the Groß Kreutz (Havel) municipality in the east and the city of Brandenburg an der Havel in the south .

Administration of the municipality and office of Beetzsee in Brielow Expansion

On April 7, 1992, and with effect from May 6, 1992, the Minister of the Interior gave his approval for the establishment of the Beetzsee Office. The seat of the office was in Butzow. At that time it consisted of the following communities:

  5. Gortz
  6. Hohenferchesar
  7. Heretic
  8. Klein Kreutz
  9. Lünow
  10. Marzahne
  11. Päwesin
  12. Bike paths
  13. Roskov
  14. Weseram
  15. City of Pritzerbe

With effect from February 1, 2002, the Ministry of the Interior approved the formation of the new Beetzsee community from the Brielow, Marzahne and Radewege communities, the formation of the new Beetzseeheide community from the Butzow, Gortz and Ketzür communities, and the formation of a new Roskow community from the Municipalities of Lünow, Roskow and Weseram as well as the formation of the new town of Havelsee from the municipalities of Briest, Fohrde, Hohenferchesar and the town of Pritzerbe. The Beetzsee office now only consisted of five communities. On February 13, 2004, the Minister of the Interior approved the relocation of the official seat from the Butzow district of the Beetzseeheide community to the Brielow district of the Beetzsee community. The change in the seat of the office came into force on March 4, 2004, the day after the change was publicly announced in the Brandenburg Official Gazette.
