Bollmannsruh is part of the municipality of Päwesin , a municipality in the north of the Potsdam-Mittelmark district ( Brandenburg ). Päwesin belongs to the administrative community Amt Beetzsee .

geography

Bollmannsruh is located on the northwest bank of the northernmost lake basin of the Ice Age Rinnensee Beetzsee . The place is about one and a half kilometers west of the district Bagow and two and a half kilometers west of the village of Päwesin. The city of Brandenburg an der Havel , the regional center of the region, is located twelve kilometers to the southwest . The city limits of Berlin are about thirty kilometers to the east.

history

In the 19th century there were a large number of brickworks around the Beetzsee , in which clay bricks were fired, especially for Berlin. Around 1875, such a brickworks was also built at the location that was later named Bollmannsruh. According to one story, several hunters met in the old canteen of the brickworks in 1927 . They named the place in Bollmannsruh after Fritze Bollmann , a barber from Brandenburg an der Havel who died in 1901 and who was involuntarily declared the Brandenburg original and, according to a mocking song, drowned in the Beetzsee. This is considered to be the foundation date. After the end of brick production, a popular excursion restaurant was built on the site in the late 1920s, which could be reached by excursion steamers from Brandenburg, and the Bollmannsruh fruit farm.

After the Second World War , a holiday camp was set up in Bollmannsruh .
