Planetal is a municipality belonging to the Niemegk district in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in western Brandenburg .

geography

The municipality of Planetal is located between the towns of Niemegk and Bad Belzig on the north side of the Hohe Fläming and on the edge of the Belziger landscape meadows . The tarpaulin flowing through the place gave the community its name.

Community structure

Districts of the community are Dahnsdorf , Kranepuhl , Mörz and Locktow with the community part Ziezow . Komthurmühle and Neue Mühle are designated as living spaces.

history

The current districts of the municipality belonged to the Zauch-Belzig district in the Prussian province of Brandenburg since 1817 and to the Belzig district in the GDR district of Potsdam from 1952 . Since 1993 they have been in the Brandenburg district of Potsdam-Mittelmark.

The community was created on July 1, 2002 from the voluntary merger of the previously independent communities Dahnsdorf, Kranepuhl, Mörz and Locktow.

traffic

The community is located on the federal road 102 between Bad Belzig and Niemegk . The closest motorway junction is Niemegk on the federal motorway 9 Berlin – Munich.

There is a small sports airfield east of the district of Mörz. (Locktow special landing site)

The Dahnsdorf stop (near Belzig) was on the Belzig – Treuenbrietzen line, which was closed in 1962 .
