Location of the municipality of Nuthetal in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district | ||
The non-governmental municipality of Nuthetal is located in the Brandenburg district of Potsdam-Mittelmark . The municipality is the legal successor to the Rehbrücke office, which existed from 1992 to 2003 .
history
The municipality of Nuthetal was created on October 26, 2003 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities of Bergholz-Rehbrücke , Fahlhorst , Nudow , Philippsthal , Saarmund and Tremsdorf as part of the Brandenburg municipal reform . The municipal administration is based in the Bergholz-Rehbrücke district.
The community owes its name to the Nuthe river , which flows between the western towns of Bergholz-Rehbrücke, Saarmund and Tremsdorf and the eastern villages of Nudow and Philippsthal and flows into the Havel in neighboring Potsdam . In Saarmund, Theodor Fontane researched in vain during his wanderings through the Mark Brandenburg around 1870 for the traditions of the Nutheburgen, which were already legendary at the time .

The community consists of the six districts (population 2016)

and the residential areas Bergholz, Forsthaus Ahrensdorf, Nudow expansion, Rehbrücke and Stöckerhaus .
