Linthe is a municipality in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in Brandenburg . The community belongs to the office of Brück with its seat in the city of Brück .
geography
Linthe lies between Fläming and Baruther glacial valley in an area with many springs.
Community structure
The community consists of three districts: Alt Bork (until October 1937 Wendisch Bork), Deutsch Bork and Linthe.
The municipality is divided into two parts. Between the districts of Linthe in the southwest and Alt Bork and Deutsch Bork in the northeast lies the district of Schlalach , which belongs to the municipality of Mühlenfließ .
history
The place was first mentioned in documents in 1342.
The current districts of the municipality belonged to the Zauch-Belzig district in the Prussian province of Brandenburg since 1817 and to the Belzig district in the GDR district of Potsdam from 1952 . Since 1993 they have been in the Brandenburg district of Potsdam-Mittelmark.
Alt Bork and Deutsch Bork were incorporated on July 1, 2002.

Sights and culture

- The village church in Alt Bork is a neo-baroque hall church that was built in 1910 in the style of homeland security architecture. Inside there are pieces of equipment from around 1700.
- Deutsch Bork village church
- The village church of Linthe is a late Romanesque stone church from the beginning of the 13th century. In the interior there is an altarpiece from the beginning of the 18th century with an altarpiece from the end of the 19th century.
- In 2009, when a fire station was being built, numerous archaeological finds were uncovered in an area excavation near the village church .
Economy and Infrastructure
In 2002 the ADAC opened the Berlin-Brandenburg driving safety center in Linthe . With a total area of 25 hectares, 6 kilometers of track length and 14 driving modules, the driving safety center is the largest and most modern facility of its kind in Europe.

Linthe is on the L 85 state road between Brück and Treuenbrietzen . The federal autobahn 9 (Berlin-Munich) leads through the municipality with the junction Brück .
The nearest train station is Brück (Mark) on the Berlin – Dessau line . It is served by the regional express line RE 7 Dessau- Berlin-Wünsdorf-Waldstadt.
