Building description

View from the east

The chorus has not moved in and is executed as a five-eighth closing. On the north and south side there is a high ox - eye , the shape of which is emphasized by white furs . At the eastern tip of the choir is a clogged gate, which may have served the pastor as an entrance at an earlier point in time. The north and south walls of the nave , like the choir, are plastered . Three rectangular fields of the same size, painted light yellow, structure the facade, each with an arched window. The square and recessed west tower has two gates: One is on the northwest side in a small extension, the second on the south side under a half-timbered canopy . On the west side there are two staggered, small rectangular windows and two smaller ox eyes, followed by a significantly smaller opening on all three accessible sides, which is roughly level between the eaves and the roof ridge of the nave. On the upper floor , three coupled sound arcades dominate on each side . The roof consists of a curved hood , the substructure of which was also built from timber. A tower clock is located on the western and eastern sides of the substructure. The tower itself ends with a tower ball , a weather vane and a cross. The hipped roof of the nave is covered with a red beaver tail and has two symmetrically arranged bat dormers on each side .

Furnishing

The altarpiece consists of ornate columns and shows the Lord's Supper in the predella , the crucifixion of Christ in its main field and above it the resurrection of Jesus Christ . The arrangement is adorned with cartilage attached to the side with oval medallions. The Dehio manual indicates that similar works from the same workshop are probably in the Jeserig village church of the Mühlenfließ community , the Niederwerbig village church , the Preussnitz village church and the Schwanebeck village church . It was probably made around 1700 and restored in 1992. The polygonal pulpit stands on a twisted column. The baptismal angel dates from the first half of the 18th century.

On the southwest side of the building is a white mulberry ; north-east of the building an oak tree with four memorial stones for those who fell in the war.
