The Regiobus Potsdam Mittelmark GmbH is the circle's traffic operation of the district Potsdam-Mittelmark . The company operates most of the regional bus routes in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district.

history

The regiobus Potsdam Mittelmark GmbH was renamed from the Beelitzer Verkehrs- und Servicegesellschaft mbH (part of Havelbus until January 1, 2015 ). Since December 2016, regiobus Potsdam Mittelmark has been operating the regional bus routes around Potsdam , Werder , Beelitz , Teltow , Stahnsdorf and Kleinmachnow . On July 10, 2017, regiobus Potsdam Mittelmark merged with Verkehrsgesellschaft Belzig mbH and is now the largest transport company in Brandenburg with around 410 employees, 6 depots and 151 buses .

Power bus

On January 2, 2017, the regiobus Potsdam Mittelmark presented a new timetable concept for the city of Werder (Havel) and the immediate vicinity. The aim is a smooth transition between rail traffic (to RE1 at Werder station) and an easy-to-remember bus schedule. In addition, a separate tariff was set up and some districts were included in Berlin tariff area C.

For the powerbus project 3 omnibuses with a new bus design as well as WLAN and USB sockets were presented.

PlusBus

High Fläming

For the timetable change on December 14, 2014, the then Verkehrsgesellschaft Belzig mbH provided the first PlusBus in the Berlin-Brandenburg transport association . Lines 553 (Brandenburg - Rietz - Netzen - Lehnin ), 580 (Bad Belzig - Golzow - Lehnin - Werder - Potsdam ) and 581 (Bad Belzig - Golzow - Brandenburg) operate as PlusBus . Line 582 (Bad Belzig - Niemegk - Treuenbrietzen ) has also been running as a PlusBus since January 1, 2017 . The vehicles that run on the routes are modern and individually equipped with WiFi and USB sockets.

Beelitz-Zauche

Since January 1, 2018, two more lines have been upgraded to PlusBus. Lines 643 ( Beelitz - Neuseddin - Potsdam) and 645 (Beelitz - Fichtenwalde - Lehnin) have been operating as PlusBus since then. The vehicles used have the same characteristics as those already used in Hohen Fläming. Line 641 (Beelitz - Fichtenwalde - Werder) has also been operating as a PlusBus since April 13, 2019 .

The regiobus Potsdam Mittelmark owns 150 buses from the manufacturers Mercedes-Benz , MAN and Solaris . These are stationed at the five depots in Bad Belzig, Beelitz, Potsdam, Stahnsdorf and Werder. The new design of the buses is striking - a two-tone paint job, green and blue, on the front and rear. Buses with special lines, such as power and plus buses, culture and castle lines, show stylized motifs of the region that connect them in their side design.
