The Oberhavel Verkehrsgesellschaft is a regional bus company from the Oberhavel district with headquarters in Oranienburg . It is owned by the Oberhavel district holding company , the Oberhavel Holding Holding and Management Company .

history

OVG bus in Spandau- Hakenfelde

The company was created on April 1, 1992 by outsourcing the passenger transport sector from the Oranienburger Kraftverkehrsgesellschaft. In the course of the establishment of the district of Oberhavel , the merger with the local passenger transport company of the district of Gransee took place , since then the OVG's traffic area has been the entire district of Oberhavel.

In addition to regular bus services, OVG also offers the rental of vehicles for special trips (school trips, senior citizen trips, etc.)

As compensation for journeys by the BVG in the area of the OVG, the Berlin line 136 ( Staaken - Wilhelmstadt [operating limit OVG] - Rathaus Spandau - Aalemannufer - Hennigsdorf ) is operated together with the BVG - the concession manager remains the BVG.

The joint operation of the Berlin route 107 was discontinued with the timetable change on December 10, 2017, since since then it only operates between Pastor-Niemöller-Platz in Berlin-Niederschönhausen and instead between S + U Pankow and S Hermsdorf via Schildow and Glienicke / Nordbahn Schildow, wrong church. Since then, the OVG line 806, which has been extended there, has been operating the branch via Glienicke / Nordbahn to the Hermsdorf S-Bahn station. Since April 1, 2019, line 806 has been running alternately via the Veltheimstraße stop to Hermsdorf S-Bahn station and via to increase the frequency during rush hour the Fürstendamm to S-Bahn station Frohnau . This means that every 10 minutes is achieved during rush hour. In addition, line 806 now also runs between Schildow, Kirche and S Frohnau on Fridays until midnight.
