The consortium Prignitzbus is an association of companies Mobus Oderland Bus GmbH ( Rhenus Veniro ) and regional transport Bitterfeld-Wolfen GmbH ( cousin transport companies ). The working group has been a service provider for local public transport with buses in the Prignitz district since August 1, 2016, and is the successor to the Prignitz transport company .

history

On July 31, 2016, the former operator, the district's own transport company Prignitz (VGP), lost its concessions for bus transport in the Prignitz district. In the course of a Europe-wide tender, ARGE Prignitzbus prevailed over the competition as the new operator of the bus routes for ten years.

In contrast to the VGP, the "replacement bus service" on the Pritzwalk – Putlitz railway line was no longer ordered, and cross-border trips to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , Nauen and Potsdam are no longer offered. In addition, the scheme of the line numbers has been fundamentally renewed.
