Ziezow is an inhabited part of the municipality in the Locktow district of the Planetal municipality of the Niemegk office in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in Brandenburg .
geography
The place is eight kilometers east of Bad Belzig and eight kilometers north-northeast of Niemegk . The neighboring towns are Gömnigk and Linthe in the northeast, Jeserig , Niederwerbig and Grabow in the southeast, Mörz and Preussnitz in the southwest, Kuhlowitz in the west and Lüsse and Neschholz in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of Ziezow is found in 1275. In 1303 the place is documented under the name Zyzowe . Ziezow was part of the Saxon spa district , which was renamed the Wittenberg district in 1807 . On April 1, 1817, the place came to the district of Zauch-Belzig in the administrative district of Potsdam in the province of Brandenburg . In 1952, Ziezow became part of the Belzig district in the Potsdam district .
