In the following time the place name changed from Ludirstorff magma in 1426 to Luenßdorff in 1500 and Luehnsdorff in 1600 to today's Lühnsdorf .

The Lühnsdorf village church was built at the end of the 19th century and inaugurated on September 18, 1898. The church is a neo-Romanesque brick building with a 21 meter high steeple . The church bell was cast in 1616 by the Borstelmann bell foundry from Magdeburg . The old church building, a field stone building from the 15th century, had to be demolished because it was in poor condition.

Lühnsdorf has always been shaped by agriculture . During the GDR era , the place had two agricultural production cooperatives, which were initially merged into one LPG type III in 1973. This was then initially merged with LPG Kranepuhl and finally with LPG Drahnsdorf to form the Drahnsdorf Cooperative Plant Production Department .

Lühnsdorf has always been in the Kingdom of Prussia and there in the administrative district of Potsdam . On July 25, 1952, the community was assigned to the then newly formed Belzig district in the Potsdam district . On November 1, 1973 Lühnsdorf was incorporated into the city of Niemegk . After the reunification , Lühnsdorf was part of Niemegk in the Belzig district in Brandenburg and was attached to the Niemegk office on February 11, 1992 .
