Heinrich Borstelmann (* in the 15th century ; † in the 16th century ) was a German bell founder from Magdeburg . He lived from the second half of the 15th century to the first half of the 16th century. The exact dates of his life are not known. He created well-known bells in the area of ​​the Mark Brandenburg .

Live and act

Heinrich Borstelmann came from a foundry family who worked in the Braunschweig and Magdeburg area. The first work by a bell founder Heinrich Borstelmann from Braunschweig (probably his father), the bell at Calbe in the Altmark , is named for 1546. In the following, numerous bells are assigned to a "later Heinrich Borstelmann" for the period from 1588 ( Bredow ) to 1647 ( Belleben im Saalkkreis ) in the same source .
